The DEH-P4100SD is an all-round ‘travelling ‘jukebox’ that plays your entire music collection. The SD slot is discreetly hidden behind the front panel which is closed again when the card is in place. You can use both SD and SDHC cards. Or connect your USB storage device to the high-speed 2.0 interface on the front of the unit. Alternatively, plug and play your portable MP3 player via the front-in auxiliary input. Enjoying tunes from your iPod and iPhone is straightforward, too: using a standard iPod to USB cable is all you need. All functions are managed through the optional remote or single Rotary Commander, which works like a joystick: essential for navigating through your audio files. You have the option of going wireless and adding full Bluetooth handsfree and audio streaming functionality – simply add an optional adapter. High powered, serious audio performance is not forgotten, either. The unit integrates a 24-bit Delta Sigma D/A converter along with our ASR (Advanced Sound Retriever) technology, which ensures that what you hear is optimised to replay as true to the original as possible. Should you require extra muscle, an RCA pre-out connector is available for an additional amp. The unit ensures subwoofer control is very convenient with an on-board low pass and high pass filter. And the audio can be further tuned to your tastes through the 3-band parametric equaliser. It allows you to adjust the equalisation to match the distinct interior acoustic characteristics of your car.
